Lindell appears at the 2005 New Orleans Jazz Fest April 2005 This was Eric's first time at Jazz Fest on the Fais Do-Do stage. This stage traditionally features strait up Cajun and Zydeco acts, but this crowd was quickly won over by one of their adopted sons. Eric and Arron & Company were joined on stage by several old friends and the jam ensued. The Fais Do-Do crowd was rockin and dancing right from the start. It felt like Frenchman Street was lifted up from the Faubourg Marigny and dropped right down in the middle of the Fair Grounds. What a great time. And how cool is this, if you missed it and regret it, or you were there and want to relive it, you can get a disk of this show from the fine folks at: Jazz Fest Live [here] Eric's other jazz fest appearances included a great show at One Eyed Jacks sharing the bill with Papa Mali and C.C. Adcock. There was a last minute in-store appearance at the Lousiana Music Factory, a wild sit in at the Apple Barrel (check out the photos of this one). The best show may have been the 'Dragon Smoke" event at the Dragon's Den. The lineup featured Eric Lindell, Robert Mercurio, Ivan Neville and Eric Bolivar. Amazing, funky and too much fun. |

Eric Lindell and Company spent a continuous three days in the studio to get 'Tragic Magic' completed in time for a pre-release at the 2005 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival. Eric's latest disk delivers 8 new tracks of Funky and Fat, Rock and Soul. The crowd at the 'fest' appreciated this huge effort and ate these things up. Go check out this Disk on the 'Music' page. |
